Cases with built in batteries isn’t something completely new. For smartphones, these have existed on the market. A battery case for a tablet? Not so much. The best feature of the Asus Power Case is with the fact it’s specific to the tablet and doesn’t look out of place. It’s a simple backplate swap and you’re set with some new and improved battery life while still having the same look and feel to your ZenPad.

Aside from the natural look and feel to the Power Case, it also has one other noteworthy feature. When you power up your ZenPad, it will show you the battery remaining in the case. Where the normal battery level icon is located, so too is the battery level of the Power Case.

If you own a ZenPad S 8.0, ZenPad C 7.0 or ZenPad 10 you are out of luck. This Power Case is only compatible with the ZenPad 8.0 and ZenPad 7.0 tablets. Here is the product number, specs, and details, along with the case compatibility:

    Any word on when accessories for the Zenpad S 8.0 will be available? I should have my tablet next week and would really like the extended battery.

      I hate to mention this, but the battery case is only compatible with the ZenPad 8.0 and ZenPad 7.0. If you have the S model, Asus doesn’t have a battery case available. It appears that the TriCover case will be first available and the Zen Clutch should be coming soon.
